Miles for Maria Pictures!

Here are the pictures from the Miles for Maria event that I have been talking about the past few weeks. The weather was perfect. The kids were great; they ran hard and cheered and congratulated each other. I am really proud of all of the work that student council put in to make this a successful event. I was able to add up all of the donations after school and it looks like we will be sending a check to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for a little more than $2,400! I am so proud of the school and community. There are a lot of pictures, but it really captures the day!

Kindergarten-2nd graders streching before their race.

I was trying to get things organized and started. Rick is taking pictures. He surprised Maria and me by leaving work to stop by for a few minutes. He is amazing!

Braedon is an amazing runner. He is one of the 2nd grade student council representatives. He ran at least 5 laps and never became tired. He talked the whole time! I am envious of his running abilities!

And the 1st graders...they could be a Cheez-It commerical.

Ms. Smith and me! I was able to walk/run the last lap and a half. Wish I would have had time to do more!

Maria and Me!

This is out of order, but this is us welcoming all of the little kids and parents at the beginning.
