We had a really nice hotel that faced the Arch and the Mississippi River. Rick got the hotel on hotwire.com so wed didn't pay very much for it! We would definitely use hotwire again.

This is as close to the Mississippi as we got. We were getting pretty hot from being outside even for that short amount of time. Chicago had yet to heat up so this was our first experience with HOTNESS so far this year.
After the Arch we went to the old Capital building. It is a very impressive building. This is the view, looking up, from the ground floor.
