Katie is a Great Cook (by Rick)

Hello, my name is Rick and I will be guest blogging on "But Not the Armadillo" this evening. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of this great community!

The topic of this blog is how wonderful of a cook Katie is. When we first started dating more than 3 years ago, she was a great baker but still refining her skills as a master chef. In our times in Muncie, she became a expert (even surpassing Gorden Ramsey from Hell's Kitchen) of cooking pasta. Then she became a true artist of cooking chicken....

However, through the help of the internet and a wonderful imagination, she has prepared some truly spectacular meals since we have been married. I will list below just a few of my favorites, (I am sure that even these masterpieces would make the likes of Emeril Lagasse jealous.

-Red Beans and Pasta
-Chicken Noodle Casserole
-Homemade Macaroni n Cheese
-Chicken and Dumplings (in the crock pot)
-Noodles and Fresh Cut Veggies sauteed
-Broccoli and Chicken Pockets
-Garlic Parmesan Chicken

And naturally, because she has the famous Wiese blood, she is a hell of a baker. Because everything baked tastes great (it has butter and sugar, duh), I will save you the energy of having to read more and just say that everything is wonderful.

Thanks Katie for being such a darn good cook! Here are a few action shots!

Look at that form. Those pots get a work out as pasta is a nightly dinner staple!

Of course, cleaning is never fun but often necessary. Speaking of cleaning, we'd like to give a "shout out" (as the kids say), to a person who loves to clean as much as she likes ice cream, Andrea Wiese! Woot woot!

Here Katie must be dreaming of new recipes. Actually she is giving a bag of graham crackers a massage. Oooo la la!

Good night, and good luck.

Rick
