Denver Zoo!

These pictures are a little late, but oh well! Here are the pictures from my trip to the zoo with Jess and Eliot!

The zebra for Kayte.

The giraffes were one of the highlights of the zoo. This baby giraffe was born one week before this picture was taken. It's name is Blizzard (it was born during a blizzard). It didn't move at all while we were there, but it was very cute--for a giraffe.

I think this is the father of the baby. The zoo volunteers told that he is very social with the female giraffes.

This is another baby giraffe. It was born in February. It has the same father.

Half zebra-half antelope...very strange.

This is a tapir. It was Eliot's favorite. He had a nice conversation with the tapir while Jess and I were looking at something else.

These were the most active grizzly bears I had ever seen at a zoo. They were playing one minute...

And posing for cameras the next!

The carousele...we didn't ride on it, but all of Jess's students told us we should if we went to the zoo.

The kangaroo...unfortunately, it never moved from this spot.

And probably the strangest part of the day was the dog in the car as we were leaving the zoo. Just an odd sight for the zoo parking lot.
