Pumpkin Carving!

Tuesday Night we were able to carve our pumpkins!
Always something I look forward to doing with Rick!

We didn't have newspapers to put all of the guts on so we used old tshirts!

Rick's final product!

Lighting the pumpkins!

With a flash!

Without a flash!

A nice picture with our pumpkins!

And one imitating our pumpkins!

Out on the porch!

We looked at them from far away (the road) last night and they looked so cool. I will have to go take a picture of them from that distance because the effect is different!

Trick or Treating with Alex...

On Sunday afternoon we were supposed to go Trick-or-Treating with Alex (the Gorilla). However, after Alex went out with his friends he didn't want to go out again. It wasn't a big deal because we had fun playing around the house with Alex!

Alex was interested in playing with his Christmas Pooh Bear. It plays the drums and Alex thinks it is fun to try to smash someone's finger or at least get a funny reaction. See below!

This is Alex's friend Sara. She loved nerds...eating the whole box!

Sara with candy buckets!

Alex is making some funny faces lately. Here is one I captured.

When Alex gets hurt he gets a back of fish to put on his "boo, boo" instead of ice!

Our Weekend! (no weddings included)

Saturday we went to Cindy's to visit with her and Wendy! Later in the afternoon Alex and Jackie came over! Here are a few pictures of Alex!
Alex with his new copy of the Cat in the Hat! He was very excited!

Happy Halloween!

Keeley was also in town this weekend! On Saturday night she made us a great dinner and then we watched The Bank Job. Here is a picture of Keeley and me!

Then we tried to take a picture of all three of us...
it didn't work out too well....so, we used the timer!

Much better results!

Ryan and Ziena's Wedding

This weekend we drove to Evansville, IN to see Ryan and Ziena get married. Ryan and Ziena are friends of ours from Ball State. They were in the same grad class as Rick. We were accompanied in our drive by Kathy and Rich. Kathy and Rich are also friends from Ball State. Kathy and I have been friends since our freshman year in Student Government (which is also how her and Rich met). We are similar in many ways including our names--two Katherines (spelled differently) and two Richard Josephs.

We left from Lockport on Saturday morning and it took about 5 1/2 hours to make it to Evansville. After checking in to our hotel and getting dressed we headed to the ceremony and then the reception.

Me at the end of the night!

Once I get some more pictures from Kathy I will post them.

The rest of the Weekend

This morning Rick, Andrea, and my dad went golfing! My mom and I went to the Sunflower Festival, but there weren't any sunflowers left alive.
This skull was at the festival...even though there weren't any sunflowers!

There were donkeys too!

After the sunflower festival my mom and I went to collect leaves for a school project I am going to do. On our way home she said there was this pumpkin patch behind a building that had gone out of business near our house. So, we went over there and picked some pumpkins. To our surprise though it was very muddy! Luckily, I had my crocs on that were easy to clean. It was a fun adventure and way to spend the morning with my mom! Here are a few pictures!

We left Indiana around 2pm and spent the rest of the day at home doing laundry and enjoying the weekend! We are picking up Mackenzie at the train station in about 45 minutes. I am spending tomorrow with her before she flies back to Chicago. Rick is leaving again tomorrow for another business trip, but I had a wonderful time with him while he was home this weekend!

Kelly got married!!!

Kelly and Brock got married this weekend and we were lucky enough to be able to attend the wedding! Kelly looked absolutely gorgeous!
Before the wedding in our front yard!

Kelly and her dad!

I read the Irish Blessing at the wedding.

Lighting the Unity Candle!

After the wedding we were waiting to blow bubbles! It was such a nice day!

Rick took this picture--great job!

My mom and dad!

Jason and Gretchen are two of my best friends from High School.
Gretchen, Kelly, and I were an unseparable trio.

My wonderful husband!

Sarah and Gretchen (sisters, if you couldn't tell)

The cake was beautiful and tasted good as well!
